IMTX Run Aid #6 - Information for Race Day Saturday 4/22

If you have volunteered, here is the information you need for Race day 4/22/23

Thank you again for volunteering to help with Ironman Texas.

This year our Aid station has a western\cowboy theme! Bring your cowboy hat. Big thanks to Tracy and Lisa for organizing a theme for this year.

Run Aid Station #6 – same place as 2021 and 2022. We are next to the path, just WEST of the East Shore Club house (2662 North Bay Place, The Woodlands, Texas 77380). The athletes will pass thru our station, take a right down the waterway trail. If you can find the East Shore Club House, you will see the Run Aid #6 location.

What to wear – Pick up the IM volunteer shirt when you arrive. The weather forecast for Saturday as of today looks like a high of 71 and low of 54 during the Ironman and a chance of rain. Please review the forecast the day before and come prepared. Don’t forget Sunscreen, a (cowboy) hat, maybe sun glasses and comfortable shoes that can get wet, e.g. a running shoes or the like. You may want to bring a change clothes for afterwards.

Parking - Parking can be an issue, recommend carpooling. Parking for the first shift should not be a problem BUT for 2nd and 3rd, you may encounter closed roads. Leave a bit of extra time to get to aid station #6. You may be able to park in East Shore within 2-4 blocks.

Please arrive a few minutes before your shift so you can check in and get your IM volunteer shirt.

We will have pizza for lunch\dinner for the volunteers, one batch for each shift.

Still looking for help. While the 3rd shift is full, we still need a few more for the 1st and 2nd shifts in case you know anyone that might want to help out.

On Sunday, don’t forget the Volunteer Lunch\Awards ceremony at the Marriott. It opens at 11 am and the program begins at 11:30. BRING your volunteer shirt (in a bag is fine) to get in for FREE.
