COUNT UPDATED 5-10-16

Folks,

Just a quick update on the May 14th TWRC IM TX Run Aid station #6 status.

First, thank you for volunteering. As of 5-10-16:

We are FULL for the first shift 10:00 AM - 2:30 PM
We are FULL for the second shift 2:30 PM - 6:30 PM
We are FULL for the third shift 6:30 PM - 11:45 PM

To take some of the pressure off me, Detlef has volunteered as shift leader for the 3rd shift, Andreas is leading the 2nd and I will lead the 1st. Sarah Getty is in charge of the theme and coordinating with Athleta. Athleta will be bringing the cheer section again this year.

Fellow runners – Once again TWRC will be manning Run Course Aid Station #6 for Ironman Texas. We need approximately 100 volunteers.

WHERE: Run Course Aid Station #6 is in the same spot as previous years, the North end of East shore, near the East Shore Club House.

WHEN: Saturday May 14th 2016

Join The Woodlands Running Club (TWRC) near the East Shore Club House to support the 1000s of athletes on their quest to hear “You are an Ironman”. Besides passing out food & water, cheering and keeping the area clean for all the runners, duties include setting up (1st shift), working like crazy (2nd shift) and breaking down the aid station (3rd shift). We are going to have a great time!

Same plan as last year. The links are password protected to give TWRC members first shot at shifts they want.

IMTX has opened registration for volunteers.

We are looking for shift leaders and individuals that would like to help decorate the tents.

If anyone knows of any volunteer or services organizations looking to earn some volunteer time, please let me know.
